Editorial policy

This policy describes how content on Kazzaz Smoke is produced and what readers can expect from it.

Independence

We accept no payment for coverage in any form. No manufacturer, distributor or retailer has any influence over what we publish, and no company sees an article before publication. We do not accept sponsored posts, paid links, guest contributions or affiliate arrangements.

How we verify claims

• Claims that can be tested are tested by us directly, using equipment we purchased ourselves.
• Technical specifications are checked against manufacturer documentation or published standards where they exist.
• Where a claim rests on a standard, we name the standard so readers can check it themselves.
• Where evidence is thin or contested, we say so rather than picking a side for the sake of a clean answer.

Separating fact from preference

A great deal of advice in this area is preference presented as fact. We try hard to distinguish the two: where something is measurably better we say so, and where it is a matter of taste we label it as such.

Corrections

Errors are corrected on the article itself with a note describing what changed and when. We do not remove or silently rewrite published material. Readers who spot mistakes are encouraged to contact us.

Authorship

Every article carries a named author with a published profile setting out their relevant background. We do not publish anonymously and we do not publish machine-generated articles as though a person wrote them.

Updates

Articles are reviewed periodically and updated when the underlying facts change. Substantive updates are dated on the article.
